Favorite Story / Story of the Day: Wine, Beer, and Marianne?
No one story sticks out in my mind today to get single coverage so today I am going to talk about a few of them to look forward to in Today in the News… Sip It. However I am going to start with something that didn’t happen today but will tomorrow.

After 4 weeks of vacation MARIANNE RETURNS TO GOOD DAY October 27. Confirmed with a tweet from Marianne last night. “I’ll see you 10/27!”

Today’s show had a Sipping theme to it and it all started in Mark’s Allentown in Auburn when he went to Sip. This new Wine and Art center will hold it’s Grand Opening Friday. This Wine Room offers different wineries to come in for Wine Tasting plus local artists got together to show off their art.

Staying with the Sipping Theme Kristin was in Sacramento at ZPizza where they are the first Self Serve Beer on Tap in Sacramento. Not only do they offer that but they have Beer and Pizza Pairings. Kristin got the best of both worlds with Beer and Pizza.

Are you looking for a way to pass the time while sipping your beer and or wine? Why not pull out your pocket game. Today Cambi was in Turlock where Game Designer Chris Handy has developed a pack of gum sized games. You can preorder now for a Summer of 2015 release.

Good Day Sports Report:
After a week off the Good Day Sports Report returned with Jason and Laura. Laura was very happy while Jason was not. Congrats to Peyton Manning for breaking Brett Favre’s Touchdown Record.

Beer and Pizza Pairings.
Today Kristin was in Sacramento at ZPizza for Beer and Pizza Pairings. First Kristin showed the first ever Self Serve Beer on Tap. The way it works is they take your ID, Start a tab, Get a computerized bracelet and you pay at the end of the night for the amount of beer you drank. Then she showed the pizza and beer pairings in the 9am Hour.

Is That a Game In Your Pocket:
Today Cambi was in Turlock with a local man, Chris Handy, who has designed games small enough to fit in your pocket because they are about the size of a pack of gum. Pocket Games can be pre ordered and will be out soon.

Invictus Foundation Golf Classic
Mark was in Roseville for a Golf tournament with a former UC Davis football player who is using his muscle to help at-risk kids. The Tournament tees off at 10am.

Hens For Sale:
Melissa was in Folsom checking out Hens up for adaption. These hens have all been rescued and are in need of a good home plus you get Farm Fresh eggs. Animal Place is holding an adoption fair November 8 for more details go to the website.

We have a new #1 at the Box Office and as Pat Benatar sings Love is a Battlefield well so is the Box office and this week Fury won the box
office and the Battle on the Battlefield with Brad Pitt leading the way. In a bit of shock Mark and Mark at the Movies didn’t cover this movie this week after a couple of weeks ago Director Marc Woodfork said this was one movie they should be talking about. Also in a shock Kill the Messenger and Men Women and Children finished out of the top 10. In fact Men Women and Children finished so bad it barely made the top 20 (19)

The Box Office Winners this week are starting with Fury with an estimated $23,500,000. Falling 1 spot to #2 was Gone Girl with $17,800,000. Taking over 3rd another movie not talked about this week on the show the new animation feature starring Zoe Saldana The Book of Life with $17,000,000. Falling one spot to #4 was Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day with $12,039,000 and coming in the 5th spot was Nicolas Spark’s The Best Of Me with $10,200,000
