Heather is checking out a Dog House Building Contest. The Oakland Marathon is Sunday but we will learn how much food you need to eat before you cross the finish line. Roqui is in Napa today checking out the Flavor Festival. We get a preview of Olympics of Irish Dance plus before it’s open house tomorrow we tour the new location of McKeever School of Irish Dance. Nha Learns Calligraphy from Rosaura Unangst. Author Meera Klein shares her recipe from her new novel. Now 100.5 DJ Todd Baker is rappelling from a building to raise awareness for Brain Injury Association of California. Waterloo middle school are holding a Jump-Rope-a-thon. Melissa was at Sacramento SPCA as Bueller was picked up by his new family to go home.
Heather was getting a preview this morning of a dog house building contest at Whirlow’s restaurant that’s helping out the Stockton Animal Shelter. Heather was with Lindsey Schmitt and other students at Waterloo Middle School who are dropping their pens and pencils and lacing up their kicks for a school wide jump rope-a-thon.
Roqui was trying the English Muffins at Model Bakery. Roqui was at Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley getting a taste of the “Favor!” Festival and an inside look at the culinary school it benefits. Roqui also learned the future of wine.
Courtney was getting tips on from Anna Foletta on fueling a Marathon runner with proper nutrition. Courtney was at The Rock Church getting a special performance of For What Purpose (Easter Drama) taking place March 25-27th
Tina was with Local author Meera Klein who has won several awards for writing “My Mother’s Kitchen, A Novel with Recipes”
Julissa was getting a Babiekins Magazine Spring Fashion Trend Fashion Show
Kevin was at 7-Eleven for Bring Your Own Cup (BYO Cup) Day is back and bigger than ever! 7-Eleven is kicking off Slurpee season and Slurpee’s 50th birthday celebration with double the love – two Slurpee-filled days.
Marianne was with some talented students from the McKeever School of Irish Dance show off their fast foot skills! One of them, Moriah Payne is even getting ready to compete in the World Irish Dancing Championships

Marianne: Olympics of Irish Dance
We’re still feeling the Irish fever even though St. Patrick’s Day has come and gone! Today on Good Day Marianne was with some talented students from the McKeever School of Irish Dance show off their fast foot skills! One of them, Moriah Payne is even getting ready to compete in the World Irish Dancing Championships (basically it’s like the Olympics of Irish dancing)!! Champion dancer Moriah has been training hard for the big trip to Glasgow, Scotland later this month! She’s the first dancer from McKeever School to ever compete!!

Tina: A Novel Of Recipes
Today on Good Day Tina was with Local author Meera Klein who has won several awards for writing “My Mother’s Kitchen, A Novel with Recipes” in which she shares old stories that accompany each recipe. There is a great vegetable stew in my book and I can show your viewers how to make it using fresh spring veggies available at local Farmers Market. I shop at the Davis one, which is fabulous! I can serve it with plain rice, flavored with ghee or nutty brown butter.

It’s five days, 40 events, and one huge festival! Today on Good Day Roqui was at Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley getting a taste of the “Favor!” Festival and an inside look at the culinary school it benefits.

Penmanship is a lost art. Today on Good Day Nha was trying to find it again at a lettering workshop taught by Rosaura Unangst, a Sacramento-based calligraphy and watercolor artist whose Pigment and Parchment wedding stationary has been featured in Spanish Vogue.

Heather: Jump Rope for Heart
Today on Good Day Heather was with Lindsey Schmitt and other students at Waterloo Middle School who are dropping their pens and pencils and lacing up their kicks for a school wide jump rope-a-thon!!!! Waterloo middle school jumped on the jump rope bandwagon years ago, but when one of their students was diagnosed with two heart conditions, it became personal!! 8th grader Lindsey has two heart conditions and is very passionate about spreading heart health awareness!
